A few days ago, I asked in the forum, and I realized that the current Android box does not support 4K movies in Dolby World format. My TV supports this. I do n’t want to waste this feature. The 4K disc of the number one player just came out supporting Dolby World + Dolby Atmos, so I wanted to buy a disc player.
Check the Internet, it turns out that entry-level 4K players are so cheap. For example, LG’s UBKC90 was only 1480 this year. SONY has an entry-level one that is almost the same price, so it started with LG.

Because it is an entry-level machine, the materials are very general, that is, the plastic shell, which feels light and flutter. It is definitely not as good as the steel structure used by flagships such as OPP0203 205, but it is still cheap.

Connected to the TV, although it is a European and American version of the machine, but with a simplified Chinese interface, LG still pays more attention to the Chinese region.

I tried the APP of Netflix once to light up the Dolby world of the TV smoothly, but it was of no use. . . .

Began to test the disc, it must be the number one player who bought it. According to the evaluation, if you do n’t buy this disc, there will be no 4K discs to buy. In fact, this is the case.

Okay, talk about Dolby’s vision effect.
How to say, in fact, I have seen many 4K movies in HDR10 format before, the effect is already very good, how do you describe it in Dolby Vision.
Anyway, it feels very natural, the color is not the kind that is very bright and gorgeous, but it is very natural. It should be light and strong, the transition should be smooth, and the skin color of the character can be accurately restored.
Another thing is that the picture is very transparent, very three-dimensional and layered. This is where the Dolby world really shines. When I saw it, I basically forgot to count hairs and immersed myself in the plot.
The overall feeling is indeed a little better than HDR10, especially the layering and stereo sense of the picture is very strong.
This is my 2016 LG OLED TV. If I change this year’s flagship OLED TV such as SONY A8F or LG C8, the effect will be better.

Finally, talk about the things that many people pay attention to playing USB REMUX 4K movies.
The USB interface of this machine is still 2.0. It can be recognized by plugging in my 1T mobile hard disk. It is no problem to play 1080P movies with embedded subtitles.
But do n’t expect to play MKV-encapsulated REMUX 4K movies. Many movies ca n’t be recognized, and occasionally identifiable movies do not support external subtitles and MKV internal subtitles. The next-generation surround sound track is barely okay. . . . .
In the end, the 4K video that this machine connected to the USB for mobile devices includes many of my 4K demo videos and stick MVs. The results are very poor, far worse than the Zhidu X9S, or even the player that comes with my TV.
So this machine is a machine that focuses on playing 4K discs. Don’t expect to have good support for downloaded 4K movies, after all, at this price. . . . . .

Finally talk about sound effects. I used to use an optical fiber amplifier for both Android boxes and game consoles. I have never heard of surround sound tracks of the next era, such as Dolby TRUTH HD, DTS HD, and panoramic sounds.
And I saw people saying they couldn’t hear much difference.
I bought this LG player this time, and directly input audio from the HDMI2 interface to the amplifier, and finally can achieve the next era of surround. My 5.1 speaker has been used for more than 10 years, and the amplifier is also an entry-level Denon.
After listening to it, it was like lying down, listening to the previous surrounds in vain, and the next-generation surrounds made my old box reissued for the second spring. The difference is very obvious, and the effect is much better than any previous DTS 5.1.
In particular, the Dolby Atmos effect of the number one player on this disc is so good that it is a demonstration-level second-generation surround.

It seems I have to discuss with my wife to change the amplifier, haha.
In the end, this disc player is quite satisfactory. It should be perfect to use with the X9S combination. Of course, the effect is definitely not as good as those disc players with more than 5000, and it’s over.
