MG S9 EV Debuts at 2024 Geneva Motor Show

The MG S9 EV made its debut at the 2024 Geneva Motor Show. Positioned as a mid-to-large-sized SUV, it maintains consistency with the domestic Feifan R7, which was unveiled at the previous 2023 Guangzhou Auto Show. This time, the car was launched overseas under the name of MG S9 EV, a subsidiary of MG. The 2024 domestic model Feifan R7, officially launched at the 2023 Guangzhou Auto Show, underwent optimizations and upgrades in 129 areas.

In terms of appearance, the overseas version remains consistent with the domestic Feifan R7, featuring a futuristic front design with striking lines on the “hood” portraying aggression. The front end is designed with a downward slope, giving the body a forward-leaning posture. Combined with the surrounding shapes on both sides, it effectively channels airflow underneath while creating a highly dynamic atmosphere. Additionally, adjustments were made to the lower three-section air intake design, making it sharper overall.

On the side profile, the car’s lines are clean, accentuated by newly designed two-tone wheels, emphasizing its sportiness. The car also features popular hidden door handles. The rear retains the through-type taillights, with a luminous R logo above. Ventilation holes are designed at the rear fenders, complementing the rear bumper for a sporty look.

Regarding the interior, the currently available 2024 Feifan R7 in China introduces the Feifan Bah cockpit for the first time, equipped with industry-exclusive Feifan Bah Immersive Vector Sound, motion sickness relief system, Feifan Bah Master steering wheel, and numerous upgrades for both static enjoyment and dynamic driving experience.

Moreover, the car will be equipped with Huawei’s Visual Enhancement AR-HUD Panoramic System, a 43-inch wide triple screen, Feifan Bah Immersive Vector Sound technology, stepless driving mode, Michelin tires, a 1.855-square-meter integrated panoramic sunroof, Nappa leather seats, heated and ventilated front seats, front seat 8-airbag SPA-level massage, electric leg rest for the front passenger, electric 4-way lumbar adjustment for the front passenger, four-door electric suction door, leather steering wheel, 256-color ambient lighting, 360° panoramic camera, streaming media rearview mirror, Qualcomm Snapdragon 8155 automotive-grade chip, SAIC Magic Square battery, a new generation of 8-layer Hair-Pin motor, automatic parking, and more.

In terms of power, the current domestic Feifan R7 is available in a single-motor rear-wheel-drive version with a maximum output power of 250 kW and peak torque of 450 Nm. The dual-motor all-wheel-drive version has a comprehensive maximum output power of 400 kW and peak torque of 700 Nm.
