Chinese electric car brand ZEEKR, officially launched its first three-box midsize sedan – the ZEEKR 007, positioning itself as a new competitor to Tesla Model 3.

On December 27th, ZEEKR Auto, a subsidiary of Geely Auto Group, officially released its first three-box midsize sedan – the ZEEKR 007. The car is available in five different configurations, with an official guide price ranging from 209,900 to 299,900 yuan. As the fourth model in the ZEEKR lineup, the 007 is built on the SEA (Sustainable Experience Architecture) platform, featuring a new design language, an 800-volt electric architecture, and laser radar technology. For models equipped with ternary lithium batteries, the optional package is priced at 30,000 yuan, with a limited-time purchase benefit of 20,000 yuan. The new car will start deliveries on January 1, 2024.

Key Features of the ZEEKR 007:
Designed by Stefan Sielaff’s team, the ZEEKR 007 adopts the Hidden Energy minimalist luxury exterior design. The front face features a closed design commonly seen in electric vehicles, with a relatively rounded surface on the front bumper, and the raised design and lines on the front hood bring a stronger sense of power to the front end. The front end also comes equipped with a 90-inch integrated smart light curtain, supporting real-time canvas functionality.

The ZEEKR 007 is equipped with advanced intelligent assisted driving features, featuring a roof-mounted laser radar and cameras placed throughout the vehicle to collect road condition information. Additionally, the front fenders are equipped with intelligent driving assistance interactive lights, displaying navigation functions and providing directional guidance through changes in the intensity of blue lights during automatic parking.

The side profile of the ZEEKR 007 adopts a design similar to a coupe, with smooth lines, and the shapes and lines around the front and rear wheel arches bring a muscular feel to the car. The rear of the car is equipped with two thin light strips, outlining the contour of the rear of the car. The “flowing light” taillights use Super Red technology for a stronger penetrating effect. Moreover, the rear of the car creates a light waterfall effect through a wave-patterned decorative panel, enhancing the recognition of the rear. In terms of dimensions, the ZEEKR 007 measures 4865/1900/1450 millimeters in length, width, and height, respectively, with a wheelbase of 2928 millimeters.

The interior of the ZEEKR 007 features a 15.05-inch 2.5K OLED sunflower central control screen, supporting three-way screen rotation to meet various usage scenarios. The car also comes equipped with a full LCD curved instrument panel and a 35.5-inch AR-HUD head-up display. The car is equipped with the 8295 intelligent cockpit computing platform, with NPU computing power reaching 30 TOPS.

In terms of creating a sense of luxury, the ZEEKR 007 has 14 ambient lights inside, totaling 176 LED light-emitting units, supporting 64-color light adjustment. All seats in the car use Nappa full-grain top-layer leather, equipped with a 21-speaker 7.1.4 Dolby panoramic sound system, and the main driver’s seat also features a headrest speaker. The interior also features a Microfiber suede headliner and metal-colored coat hooks.

In terms of power, the ZEEKR 007 is built on an 800-volt high-voltage architecture and is equipped with a silicon carbide rear motor, providing two power options: single motor and dual motor. The single motor version has a maximum power of 310 kW, while the dual motor version has maximum front and rear motor powers of 165 kW and 310 kW, respectively, with the fastest 0-100 km/h acceleration time reaching 2.84 seconds.

In terms of power batteries, the ZEEKR 007 is equipped with the self-developed “Gold Brick Battery” by ZEEKR, using 800-volt technology and lithium iron phosphate material for the battery core. The charging rate can reach 4.5C, and the maximum charging power can reach 500 kW. Charging for 15 minutes can help the vehicle recover a range of over 500 kilometers. Additionally, there is a ternary lithium version of the power battery to choose from. In terms of range, depending on the configuration model and the capacity of the matched power battery, the CLTC (Chinese Long-Term Charge) test cycle range of the car is 688-870 kilometers. So, considering the price, configuration, and power performance of the ZEEKR 007, do you think it can compete with Tesla Model 3?
